Using flags, hoops and other props the West Springfield High School Color Guard translates the band’s music into mesmerizing, synchronized expressive dance as they lead the marching band in parades and transfix the crowd during halftime shows and concerts. The teamwork, comradery and self-determination that participation in the Color Guard provides leads to greater self-confidence and can build friendships that last a lifetime.
